Bring back the depth, gloss, and clarity hidden beneath years of swirl marks, scratches, water spots, and other paint imperfections. Paint correction safely refines your vehicle’s finish, dramatically improving its appearance while preserving the integrity of the clear coat.

What Is Paint Correction?

Paint correction is the process of actually removing or reducing defects in your vehicle’s clear coat rather than temporarily hiding them with waxes or fillers. Using professional polishing techniques, we carefully level microscopic imperfections that scatter light and make paint appear dull, hazy, or covered in swirls. The result is a smoother, clearer finish with dramatically improved gloss and depth.

Think of it like going from a TV from the late ’90s to a 4K OLED. Same picture, entirely different clarity.

Why Is Paint Correction Needed?

Throughout the life of your vehicle, its paint picks up contamination and defects from improper washing, automatic car washes, environmental fallout, water spots, bugs, and everyday use. Even careful washing can eventually leave behind fine swirls and marring.

Those tiny scratches change the way light reflects from the paint. Instead of reflecting cleanly back to your eyes, the defects scatter the light in different directions, creating the hazy, swirled appearance you see in direct sunlight and hiding the paint’s true gloss, depth, and clarity.

Paint correction removes or reduces those defects, allowing light to reflect more evenly and revealing the rich finish that was hiding underneath.

What Can Paint Correction Remove?

Paint correction can significantly reduce or remove swirl marks, wash-induced marring, oxidation, haze, light scratches, water-spot etching, and other clear coat imperfections. Some defects may be too deep to safely remove completely. If eliminating a defect requires too much clear coat, we would rather leave a minor imperfection than compromise the long-term health of your paint.

How Much Correction Does Your Vehicle Need?

Every vehicle is different, so we don’t approach paint correction with a one-size-fits-all process. We evaluate the condition of the paint, the severity of defects, and what you want to achieve. We then use the safest, most effective combination of compounds, polishes, pads, and correction steps.

The goal isn’t to remove every defect at any cost. It’s to achieve the best possible finish without necessarily sacrificing your clear coat.

What Goes Into a Paint Correction?

Wash & Decontamination

Before the polishing begins we have to start with a clean slate. The vehicle receives our thorough Premium Exterior Detail service. Followed by removing iron deposits that are embedded in the paint. Finishing off with a clay service to ensure that only the clear coat will be polished.

Paint Inspection & Correction Process Calibration

The paint is inspected under proper lighting and measured for coating thickness. A controlled test spot is then performed to determine the most effective combination of technique, pad, and compound while using the least aggressive method necessary to achieve the desired result.

Paint Correction

Using the best possible process established during the test spot, the paint is machine-polished to safely remove or reduce swirls, oxidation, haze, water spots, and other surface defects. Each panel is methodically refined to restore clarity, depth, and gloss while preserving as much of the original clear coat as possible.

PROTECTING THE CORRECTION

Once the defects have been removed, protecting the finish helps preserve the results. Paint correction can be followed with a quality sealant or a ceramic coating for significantly longer-lasting protection, increased chemical resistance, hydrophobic performance, and easier maintenance.

For customers looking for long-term protection, we offer professional ceramic coating services that pair perfectly with freshly corrected paint in Southwest Florida.

How Much Does Paint Correction Cost?

Paint correction does not have a one-size-fits-all price.

Two vehicles of the same year, make, and model can require very different amounts of work depending on paint condition, defect severity, paint hardness, previous repairs, vehicle size, and the result you want to achieve.

We evaluate the paint first and determine the safest, most effective correction process for your vehicle. Pricing is based on the condition of the paint and the work required to achieve the agreed-upon result, rather than selling an arbitrary number of polishing “steps.”
